Advanced Readiness Officer Course
The Advanced Readiness Officer Course (AROC) (formerly AMDOC) is the second course in the Medical Department Officer’s Learning Continuum. The course is designed to prepare medical department officers and senior civilians for increased responsibilities as senior officers and leaders who understand the "practice and business" of Navy Medicine in the operational settings. The Advanced Course is an important point along the Officer Learning Continuum and a natural progression from the Basic Medical Department Officer’s Course.
Eligibility
Medical Department Officers in grades O-4 to O-5. Civilian employees grade GS12 and above.
Funding/Billeting
Naval Medical Leader & Professional Development Command provides full funding for Active Duty. NML&PDC is not authorized to fund rental cars. Active Duty billeting is at contract hotel with reservations made by NML&PDC. SELRES are funded by RESCEN, billeting reservations are made by Reserve member.
